Intersecting identities that inform my practice: I identify as a white, able-bodied cis-queer woman.

Background & Approach: I believe each and every one of us deserve to feel seen, heard and acknowledged within our experiences of the world. As a privileged queer person, I operate from the understanding that my clients are the experts of their own lives and my role is to support them in finding the strength and ability to foster a relationship with themselves and the world. My approach to therapy incorporates a psychodynamic and intersectional lens to help clients understand how past experiences and relationships can inform their current identity and developing sense of self. My intention is to be receptive, accountable, warm, non-judgmental and curious in my work with clients, and my passion lies with honoring authenticity, finding joy within lived and shared experiences, and healing wounded parts to foster deeper connection of self.

My background in the social work field has involved supporting adolescents with dual-diagnosis mental health and substance use disorders, working with survivors of intimate partner violence, navigating intensive outpatient treatment for adult sexual offenders, providing clinical case management for adults utilizing community mental health resources and providing therapy for teens and young adults navigating eating disorders.

Theoretical & Clinical Orientation: Psychodynamic, relational, strengths-based, and intersectional orientations using trauma-informed, body-positive and attachment based approaches

Education & Training:

  • LCSW

  • MSW in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver

  • BS in Psychology, Texas A&M University

Professional Service & Membership: National Association of Social Workers (NASW)

Outside of Work: I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my wife and two dogs (one goofy yellow lab and one stubborn husky) during every season, which typically involves hiking, swimming, leaf-peeping and skiing. I love cooking and finding new recipes to enjoy, listening to music, watching women's soccer, exploring new coffee shops and slowly but surely tackling renovation projects in my home.
