Intersecting identities that inform my practice: I am a Korean and Italian, hetero, able-bodied male.
Background & Approach: I allow myself and others to show up authentically. I come from a diverse professional background. I began my quest serving time in the United States Army, working with at risk youth, and as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Mental Health had become my passion when I witnessed loved ones working through their challenges to heal wounded parts of themselves for emotional and mental well-being. I went on to obtain my master’s degree in clinical mental health from Adams State University. I am also pursuing my Licensed Addiction Counselor Certification. I believe in exploring the narrative of who you are by creating a nonjudgmental and compassionate space for you to name sources of trauma, identify core beliefs, and to foster growth. We will work to empower your authentic self by healing the oppressive wounds created by conscious and unconscious messages received by family, friends, and society. We all come from many intersectionalities and with this reasoning my therapeutic approach is always client centered utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches based on client need. While in therapy with me, you are safe to show up as you are and openly share the emotional weight you carry. Healing takes as much time as you need, and I am here to support you through.
